It seems like every time you turn on the news these days, there is a new story about driverless vehicles.
In Pittsburgh, users of the ride-sharing app Uber are just as likely to get a driverless car responding to their request for a ride than a car driven by an actual human being.
In Colorado, a beer delivery truck recently made a trip of more than 120 miles laden with cases of Budweiser, but no driver behind the wheel.
Companies as big as Tesla, Mercedes-Benz, Google, and others are reportedly in a “driverless car race” to see who can be the first to get the autonomous vehicles onto the mass market.
So what about the tour bus industry? Are there likely to be driverless tour buses anytime in the near future?
Charter Bus in Miami – Welcome to the Future
The short answer is, “No.” There FloridaTours.com currently has no plans to introduce driverless tour buses into our fleet.
Even if they were available, which they are not, at FloridaTours.com we enjoy offering our clients the kind of personalized service they have come to expect.
Our tour buses are luxurious, comfortable, modern, clean, and — most importantly — driven by a human driver who is always available to answer questions, offer advice on the best routes to your destination, and be there to help in whatever way they can.
Charter Bus in Miami — Future Shock
While you aren’t likely to be picked up by a driverless tour bus when you call FloridaTours.com, it’s hard to say what the future will hold.
If you were to tell the operator of a horse-driven street car 100 years ago that they would soon be replaced by a machine that could travel close to 100 miles per hour, they would probably think you were crazy.
The tour bus industry changes, just like anything else. But for the time being, at least, you can rest assured that you will be in the dependable hands of a human driver.
