So we know a thing or two about how to get the most out of your group outing to one of Florida’s big theme parks. Here are some ideas to help make your visit happier, more fun, and more enjoyable for everybody.
Go Early, Stay Late
Theme parks tend to get busiest in the middle of the day. So if you can schedule your arrival early, when the park first opens, you can often miss big crowds, long lines, and unhappy group members. Another option is to arrive later in the afternoon and stay until the park closes. Not only do you get the benefit of smaller crowds, but there are often nighttime attractions like parades and fireworks that can add to your group’s enjoyment.
Weekdays are better than weekends — at least during the school year — and holidays are the busiest days of all. If possible, avoid scheduling your visits on Thanksgiving, the week before and after Christmas, and on Memorial and Labor Day.
Group Dynamics
Depending on the size of your group, it’s probably going to be difficult for everybody to go everywhere at the same time. A better plan is to break your large group into smaller, more manageable groups to make it easier to keep track of everybody.
Start a text string that includes everybody in your group, including chaperones and organizers. That way, you can communicate with every member of your party simultaneously about things like meal breaks, show times, and end-of-trip coordination.
